RPM Range SP120 PWM High Performance ?

Hello

I was wondering what the RPM range is of the SP120 PWM High Performance fans ? like how low can they go ?

And will they be just as quiet as the SP120 PWM quiet edition fans when ran at the same RPM ? or will the motor start to make any extra noise because of running at such low RPM's ?

I hope there is someone here that could tell me this (staff maybe?), because i have been looking for an answer for quite some time now.

SP120 PWM High Performance fans

2350 RPM's. You should be able to take them down to 0 rpms if you wanted to and no they should not make noise.

Can I ask why you would think they would make extra noise at low RPM's?

SP120 PWM quiet edition fans

1450 RPM's

And no the performance edition will be noticabley louder than the quiet edition fans. They are almost double the RPMs so your going to get extra noise even at the same RPMs.

First of thanks for your help!

Ow and a little bit extra information, i will be using these fans in combination with the aquero 6 (fan controller)

And because i'm going to order 32 of these fans, i need to absolutely sure i make the right choice!

Because my other (case) 3-pin fans do make a strange motor noise, when turned down in the corsair link software (connected to the corsair link)

your going to get extra noise even at the same RPMs.

You're absolutely sure about that ? Do you know this out of own experience or ?

Because i thought they where bassicly the same fan, but just ran at a different RPM. A lot of reviewers where thinking this aswell...

Is there maybe anybody that could verify this ?

Edit :

Seeing this thread : http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?p=650545

Makes it look like you are wrong ?

3 Pin fans are notorious for making a buzzing/ticking sound in the CorsairLink software after the update on the Cooling Node to 1.2.5 That is when the software allowed for the PWM control, IIRC. Any PWM fan will not make noise as its using the PWM to control the speed not the voltage, I believe there is a list here floating around the forums of what fans work correctly with the Link software. I current am using Cougar PWM fans for case ventilation without any ticking no matter how low I turn them down. Same goes for my SP120 PWM High Performance fans, I can bring them down to 40% without and ticking/buzzing.
