Swiftkidd
I purchased 2x 64GB Corsair Flash Voyager Slider USB Flash Drives from mymemory which are based in Jersey from their .co.uk domain. They've both arrived in identical packaging with the exact same part numbers and the same barcodes ? I'm currently running H2testw tool but will take 90 minutes. Inside the USB packaging was a little slip 'Warranty against defects notification for Australian consumers' Name of seller: Corsair (Hong Kong) Ltd Business Address: suite 207,20/F, Exchange Tower, 33 Wang Chiu Road Kowloon Bay Kowloon, Hong Kong. Based off the above information I think they're counterfeit fakes. Should I put in a Paypal dispute claiming counterfeit or just claim they never arrived encase they expect me to prove that they're fake ? I paid £26.95 per drive but I notice just today Amazon are now selling them direct for £29.98 http://pichoster.net/images/2013/11/28/IMAG0475.jpg
Toasted
Same packaging and part numbers is fine as you bought two of them. I don't think the barcode numbers should be the same. Can you upload a picture of the second one? The USB sounds legit one if its near the Amazon price range and that it did come with the "warranty against defects notice"
Swiftkidd
It seems unusual but both Flash Drives have passed the test without errors so I'm not sure what the deal with the packaging is all about ? Is there a a way to manually check the warranty on these drives. Administrators Technobeard Posted November 30, 2013 Administrators Share Posted November 30, 2013 Are you saying you think they're fake because they have the same lot code? That just means they could be from the same batch. The UPC codes will always be the same for the same part number of course.

The UPC codes will always be the same for the same part number of course. I was generally just checking them out due to the high levels of fake flash being sold on the Internet. They're being sold at a competitive price. Now £24.99 and Amazon is selling them for £28.25. I only have USB 1.0 & USB 2.0 support and real life transfer speed seems to start out at around 9 to 12MB/Sec but gradually lowers and flatlines around 7.5MB/Second which seems pretty slow to me. What speeds should I be seeing ? I was kind of hoping for at least 20 to 25MB/Sec ? The source drives are Corsair Force Series 3 120GB Solid State Drive and Western Digital 2TB Caviar Green and the speeds seem to start out same. Initial burst then slowing down to 7.5MB/Sec

Swiftkidd
Markings on USB headers are also the same. Identical packaging and markings on product is this normal or some counterfeit clone scam ? Front: 64GB 134302047 Back: 09 9351 TAIWAN 100 9073 7.5MB/Sec is absolute crap, I wasted £50 for nothing. Toasted
I don't think its a counterfeit as the fake ones usually do not have any engravement on the USB port.
ajbtv
There is not any issue with any of the items you stated being the same, in fact they should be. The bar codes for the same product will be identical as this is whats used by POS systems to determine price. The only "barcode" that should be different is one that is labeled Serial Number, in which I don't believe is listed on the packaging you are referring to.
