sbely
I am having difficulty getting single stick 1 x 4 GB, DDR3 1600 (CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9B) to run at 1600 MHZ on a new Gigabyte B85M-D3H motherboard. Running Intel Pentium G3220 Dual Core 3.0GHZ Processor LGA1150 Haswell. Updated Bios to F8, when I select XMP, Profile 1, tentative speed 1600, but rams reads at 698.3 with the following memory readings ( FSB:DRAM 1:7, CL 9, tRCD 8, tRP 8, tRAS 22, tRFC 113 and CR 2T) despite showing correct SPD XMP values in CPUZ ( freq: 800, 9, 9, 9, 24, 41, 2T) . If I leave at default, runs fine at 1333. Bottom line, has anyone out there got Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 Ram to work at 1600 MHZ on Gigabyte B85M-D3H. I ran exact board with 2 x 4 GB G- Skill 1600 ram, with an Intel i3 4330 and without enabling XMP, ram reports at 1600 with correct timings. Could it be that the CPU somehow limits the ram speed? Is it because I am running single channel? I will try same board and CPU, with single/dual sticks of G-Skill to see what happens? Comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated Steve
peanutz94
Can you post a screen shot of CPUz memory and SPD tabs . Have you tried simply setting them manually?
