Nerdface Killah
I have an H90 and just realized that the fan wasn't spinning. It spins after I start the computer up for a bit and then slows down, speeds up and then eventually comes to a complete stop. Is this normal behavior? Motherboard is ASUS P9X79-E WS and it's plugged into the 4-pin fan header.
Yellowbeard
Sounds like you have the fan controller in the BIOS controlling the CPU fan. Disable that so that the fan will run full time.
Nerdface Killah
I changed it to the CPU fan header and it's running full time now. Weird. Temps were consistent 50 and now with the fan running full time it's 38.

Next thing is, you may either need to connect a fan to the CPU fan header OR disable the shutdown feature in the BIOS that monitors the CPU fan header. On some boards, the board will shut itself off if detects no fan on the CPU fan header. OR, you can disable the BIOS fan control for the CPU fan header and use that header for your H90 fan.
