micky
Hi there, I was just playing mafia two and had a look at the core temps and saw that it was at 70 degrees C. That got me slightly worried and I had a look around here to see what the pump fan speeds should be. It has been suggested that it should be around 4k+ RPM. I'm getting around 2.3k. Is that bad? I did a CPU and FPU stress test using AIDA64 and the CPU temps came to be around 70 degrees C aswell. The pump stayed at around 2.3k while the fan jumped up to round 2.6k RPM. Idle core temps are around 30 degrees. I have connected the fan to CPU_FAN and the pump to SYS_FAN1 and disabled the speed control for it. I have a gigabyte G1 sniper B5 and CPU is i5 4670k not overclocked yet. Does everything seem fine? I am new to this and a friend suggested that something might be wrong with my cooler. Thanks for the help.
peanutz94
micky, the pumps rpms should be around 2200RPM's give or take. Your unit is running the way it should. Your temps are maybe just a little high on your load temps, but that could be just about anything. What case are you using? What are your ambient temps? micky
Thanks for the reply, case is CORSAIR CARBIDE SERIES 330R. It is spring/summer over here so ambient are around 20 odd degrees. I just played another round of mafia II and max temp was 57. Seems alot more reasonable than 70.

I too have an h60, and the pump is supposed to run at around 4400 rpm. Please check with Corsair rep on actual pump speed. I believe there is another thread stating H60 is at around 4400. (mine runs at 4400 rpm) It seems to me that your pump is too slow, which can and usually does cause temps to increase......often rapidly under any kind of load. Please correct me if you find out otherwise.

I can assure you RPM is 2200 +/- 10%. Some MB tend to double that signal and show then as 4400 rpm. The H60,80, and 100's all use the same pump and all have a speed of 2200 RPM's
