Alfr3d007
Hi guys! I just broke my H100 pump at it's not working anymore. I'm planning to buy a new H100 but these days I couldn't find any in our local stores so I think I might just be buying an H100i and use my H100's mounting brackets to install it to my LGA 775 motherboard. So here are my questions: Is it possible to use my H100 mounting brackets if I'll buy an H100i? Will there be any issue? What models of Hydro Series can I use with my old H100's mounting brackets? Thanks in advance!
wytnyt
how did you break your h100>? it has a 5 year warranty.if a warranty applies you would be given an h100i as the h100 has been discontinued...
Alfr3d007
I'm not sure If the warranty applies. I accidentally misplaced one the 3 pin fans to the h100 (put the pin in the wrong place where the pins must be) then bam! Pump's LED dies, continues beep from the H100, and fans stopped spinning. Looking at the HWMonitor, it shows 0 RPM now. That's what happened. My board is an LGA 775 and h100i doesn't support it. So, I can use h100i with my old brackets? wytnyt
im not sure on the board but if you do find a h100 from a vendor, its gonna most likely be a refurb.,and youll have to pay for it. if it were me id put in a rma request for a h100i and upgrade the board [if needed] since the board is so old... you have nothing to lose and much to gain by filling out a rma... Alfr3d007
Thanks! I'll fill-out an RMA. But I still want to know if I can use an H100i to my good old board once I got one. Thanks again!

Alfr3d007
according to Ramguy, the h100i will not fit on a lga 775 board,im sorry... I've read a post from ramguy that I can mount it on a 775 board but I'll have to order an H100 universal bracket. his post from: here Since I already have an H100 that comes with it's bracket, I just want to make sure if I'll have to buy the bracket Ramguy's talking about (is it the same as the bracket that I have now?) or I can use my old H100's bracket if I get an H100i. I don't want to upgrade my board yet maybe for a year or two as my rig is still doing good. If I'm gonna upgrade, it's the graphics card.
peanutz94
Yes, , if you order that mounting kit , then you can use it on your MB. The only issue i can see you running into is getting your hands on one. I know down in AUS parts are not available. And the shipping costs if you purchased one from the webstore are pretty high. I would go ahead and request an RMA. The h100 isn't even five years old yet, so you have to be within the warranty period.
Alfr3d007
Update: I requested an RMA number just now. Wondering how much will the shipping cost as I'm from Philippines. If it costs more than half the price, I might just get a new one here. I know RMA takes time to process.
peanutz94
I might just get a new one here. I know RMA takes time to process. Usually about 7-10 buisness days to complete. You can always ask for an advanced replacement to keep your down time to a minimum.
