H80 temp not displaying in corsair link

I have recently installed a corsair link cooling and lighting kit in my PC and connected it to my h80 CPU cooler. I have the latest version of the software installed and the latest firmware on the controller. I have also checked the form and believe I have the latest firmware on my H80 which is 1.1.12

I cannot get the temperature of the H80 to display in Degrees C, it seems to work fine in Fahrenheit but displays 0.00 when changed to Degrees C. Is there a fix available for this or have I not changed a setting correctly somewhere?

Have you tried an older version of the LINK software?

Try a firmware reset, that may help

To reset the firmware, use the following procedure:

1. While the computer is running, hold down the profile button for approximately five seconds

2. Wait one minute, while the unit continues to run

3. Shut down your computer

4. Press and hold the profile button for five seconds while turning on the power to your computer.

I tried the firmware reset, this then produced an intermittent problem where the profile light on the pump would go off and the person light would illuminate. Then one fan would stay at max RPM on the H80 until you opened corsair link and lowered the speed. The other fan still does the normal full speed at power on and then slows down immediately after.

I have reverted back to the previous version and the coolant temp is now displaying. However I am not sure how accurate it is. When I perform and intel burn test the CPU goes from idle 37-40c up to 60c on load, but the coolant temperature only goes from 30c idle to 37c on full load. I am going to remount and re apply the thermal paste and see if this makes a difference. I'm thinking the cooler might not be seated properly or either that the readings are incorrect. My CPU is a stock clocked i5 2400.

Thanks for the suggestions :D:

The Coolant temp is normal. Most coolant temps i've seen in the forums are around 30-40C.

That's good to hear that the coolant temps are normal. I shall leave the cooler as it is then.

I still have that funny issue every now and then that a single fan on the h80 stays at max rpm until the corsair link software loads with windows and brings it back down. It doesn't cause any problems and the h80 works fine if its not connected to the link commander, the fans do the initial spin up on boot then drop back down straight away.

Thanks for the help
