Instynct
So I installed my h100i and booted my computer etc, installed corsair link and it was detecting my h100i. I ran a stress test and my cpu was getting into the 90 degree celsius.... so I removed it and cleaned all the old thermal compound off, then I put new thermal compound on it. Now I booted my computer and corsair link no longer recognizing the h100i. I've tried doing a firmware update but it says install failed. I've also tried changing usb headers... This is really frustrating... and my cpu still gets over 90 degrees C when running a stress test instantly.
wytnyt
what m/b do you have as theres a couple that have capacitors that interferes with block seating, this can be fixed by rotating the cooler 90 degrees

wytnyt
normally its a gigabyte board but there are capacitors on 2 sides that look close,i would still check clearance for those.its almost surely a seating problem or a bad cooler but for this problem thats not really likely try pressing on the block and see if the temps drop, while this may not help with capacitor issues it will if the block isnt tightened sufficiently
Instynct
Reseated about 3 times already... push on it does nothing. Fixed the detection problem but still running way too hot.
sobek
Instynct how did you manage to get the motherboard to detect the h100i, I have the same motherboard and it fails to read it at all, I would make my own thread but I think you may have the answer. thanks in advance Phill
Nitemare3219
Do the screw holes from the backplate sit flush with the holes on the PCB of the motherboard, or do they stick out?
