Twitch29479
Hey guys. i bought a 750tx corsair psu not t long ago. When ever i play a game (particularly Garrys Mod) It will make this noise. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmmOJ7JFqIk[/ame] It does get pretty annoying at times. It will do it to other games just not as much. Im guessing this is a coil whine as when the fan spins it pretty quite, and yes Im 100% sure its the psu. I am still within the warranty and have the option to rma it. The problem is a lot of people say that the replacement makes no difference. Does anyone think its worth the rma? Will the coil whine get worse? TIA - Twitch
Twitch29479
This has gotten very annoying. I am confused on what to do. This psu makes so much noise while gaming. Any help will be appreciated.
peanutz94
Twitch, yes there have been a few users that have RMA'd their PSU's and had the same issue with a new one. Those chances are extremely low. Really 99% of the time the replacement works just fine. I would go ahead and have it replaced. Just use the link on the left to get started. Twitch29479
Thank you so much for replying. Yea I think I might, my pc shut off randomly just a couple minutes ago. 0.0 (maybe its the psu? I dont know but it could be the reason) If you could help me out with just one more thing, if I were to rma it what would shipping cost be and how long would this whole process take? peanutz94
I couldn't give you any idea of what shipping would cost you. It all depends on weight of the package and how far it has to travel Generally the whole process takes between 7-10 buisness days, and advanced replacements are available if you ask and have a valid credit card. ep260
Honestly, I'd do what I did... Just RMA that PSU and when you get it back just sell it and get something else...
Twitch29479
That is another option. Btw do you need the original box? XD I have all the cables and everything but not the box.

Twitch29479
On the ticket it stated the my psu has arrived at Corsair's facility. They told me I was to expect an email conformation on it being received/shipping out. Can anyone tell me when I will be getting a replacement? It has been almost 1 week since Corsair has received my faulty psu.

Twitch29479
I ended up updating the ticket. Somebody did reply saying that he would contact the shipping department. Still no response as far as shipping the replacement. This has been a couple of days ago before the weekend. I am getting kind of frustrated now. It has been almost a month since I have had my main build up and running. :/
Twitch29479
ugh! I received the replacement today. It was a tx750. two things to point out here. 1) They promised me and told me themselves (I even asked to make sure) they would send me an hx750. Which very generous but they failed to live up to their promise. 2) They sent me a TX750, I had the TX750M I ended up calling and cs said they would be shipping the hx today. Even though Corsair fixed the problem, thats 3 more days of down time. I have been down my main rig for a month. Lets just hope the HX has no issues :(
Twitch29479
If anyone who woks for Corsair could help me out here that would be great. I still never received the email with the shipping label that I was told I would get. @Ram Guy. If you in particular could help with this as you helped before that would be great.
