Sybink
Hi all, I am sure that I am not the only person that is thinking the same thing... are your loyal Corsair customers or even Hard Core Corsair Customers like myself likely to see a firmware update for the Hydro 80i/100i series before the end of the year...? 1.07 was released over five months ago, thanks to other members we have a work around for Windows 8.1. But we need something more concrete than a registry hack. I recently upgraded my PSU to a Corsair AX1200i and it's a nightmare with Corsair link because it doesn't show the fan is moving unless you set it between 45 - 50% it's doesn't detect the movement of the fan. Sorry about the moan... I hate complaining because I have been a Corsair customer for over a decade and you could say that I am a "Corsair Vet Customer" Thanks for listening Mel :feedback:
peanutz94
Unfortunatly, they wont say one way or the other. They never talk about or hint to unreleased products/SW/FW. Are you creating a custom fan profile? The fan isn't supposed to spin until it reaches about 40%. Is this what your seeing? So unless the PSU reaches that limit it would read 0 RPM's Or are you saying even with the fan running , it doesn't report fan speeds until you set them to 45-50 percent? wa3pnt
If the AX1200i is like the AX86i (which I have) the only options in Corsair LINK for the Power Supply Fan are "Default" and "Fixed RPM". In the Default mode, the Fan is turned off until a preset temperature is reached. The ambient temperature in my shop is 23.3*, and the AX860i is shown as 23.6* in Corsair LINK. Under Prime 95 stress, I have seen the AX860i rise to 27.7* maximum, and the fan remained off. I do not know what temperature must be reached to trigger the fan on. In the Fixed RPM mode, the AX860i PWM fan can be operated between 40% (~750RPM) and 100% (~2000 RPM). I normally operate the fan at the minimum 40%. I will note that when my AX860i is operated at 100% there is a noticeable "rattle" noise from the fan. RodeoGeorge

So if it doesn't kick on exactly at 40c I wouldn't think much of it. Unless of course temps really get high.
