Hi,

after the upgrade of OS from Win8 to Win8.1, my corsair commander give me same problems i read in other threads on this forum. I follow the suggests in this topic: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=120962&page=2, then rebooted pc and from this moment the corsair commander seems death as even the status led is off.

Apart from that, pc works correctly, even Corsair H100i.

Any suggestion?

Thanks!

As mentioned, double check the Molex Power Connection. The pins in the Molex Connector have been known to get pushed out, and can be pushed back in from the rear of the connector.

The next thing to check is the USB connection since you mentioned that the status light on the Corsair Commander 2 is not lit. My suggestion would be to try a different USB Header on the motherboard, or interchange two USB Header items. If possible, interchange a front panel USB connection and then verify that the USB Header is working by plugging a Thumb Drive or something into the front USB.

Finally, you can go into the Device Manager, expand the "Human Interface Devices" (HIDs) section, and then unplug and re-plug the Corsair Commander 2. You should see at least one of the HIDs disappear and then re-appear.

In a last ditch effort to salvage before an RMA, I could not see my Commander 2 with Windows 8 until I loaded an older version of Corsair LINK (1.2.7) into a Windows 7 computer, connected the Commander 2, and updated the Firmware.

When problem started I uninstalled software and installed the last version (FW is last upgrade). None has changed.

I tried to open RMA, but Corsair Link device is not indicated into the list of devices, so I asked help here in forum.

Tomorrow I will try to contact Corsair assistance.

i think you would use the cooling section for the commander but you can call them and get it quickly sorted out.

being you're from Italy, you can use skype for free calling...

I update at the last sw Version 2.5.5145, but my link commander doesn't work. Led of commnader is dead (not blinking, is totally off). Meanwhile, also the led of the H100i not work: it show only the red color, no other.

Updating software, i follow step by step instruction explained by Ram Guy.
