whistleklik
Hello, I bought this TX750M PSU on Amazon on Wednesday. Whenever I am inside a game it makes this really loud noise. I found a video on youtube that has the sound mine, except mine is much louder. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmmOJ7JFqIk]Seen here.[/ame] I put in my old PSU HX650 and ran a few games and the noise was not present. Should I contact Amazon for a return or do that through Corsair? Thank you for your time.
peanutz94
Should I contact Amazon for a return or do that through Corsair? Thank you for your time. Yes, if you are still within Amazon's returns time frame or it less than 30 days old, it would be best to start there. But you still have the option to have it replaced directly through Corsair if you wanted to. Amazon would probably be faster than going through an RMA process though. The link is on the left if you want to RMA it.
zacll88
I am having this same issue on my Corsair TX750 V2, is it safe to continue to use, or should I RMA?

Twitch29479
Same, mine is only when you gaming. I mean its not the end of the world but it does get very annoying. :sigh!:
zacll88
I mean its not the end of the world but it does get very annoying. :sigh!: Ya, it gets annoying at times. Just want to make sure its not going to die or take any parts with it. Fan does work, when the psu needs it.
peanutz94
No it should be fine. I stress the word should just because it's impossible to predict how or when a PSU is going to fail. But generally coil whine is just a harmless noise...other than to your ears. All of you can use the LINK on the left to request an RMA if you would like them replaced. Twitch29479
Do you think this is just a problem with these series of psu's? I have heard of people doing an RMA several times and still have not gotten rid of the issue.

I have done a lot of research, and a lot of things turn to just live with it, and if it really bothers you RMA or get a new one etc. Totally understand "should" because you never know. I just wanted to make sure coil wine was not a major component in a psu failing. Appreciate your time!
ep260
Just RMA the unit and sell the one you get back. Then buy something else. If you know what I mean.
