KiLLaH
Just built my first computer and powered everything on. Everything works great except the two front Fans did not power up or the LEDS power on. I have the molex plugged in and tried switching it to its own Perif cable from the psu but with no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks everyone for the help.
Corsair Employees Corsair Shaman Posted October 24, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 24, 2013 It's probably a dead LED. Open a support ticket, and attach the copy of purchase invoice. We will replace it for you.
peanutz94
Are both fans daisy chained together so you have a single connection to the PSU that should power both fans? Or does each fan have its own connection to the PSU? Have you checked to be sure the pins in the molex connector are seated correctly? Have you tried running them from a MB fan header? Are the fans plugged into the controller itself; i.e., are the fans spinning? If so, check the front panel. There is a push button that turns off the LEDs on the fans. Perhaps you engaged it accidentally. You cannot test the fans by plugging them directly into your motherboard. Those fan connectors are proprietary and won't fit a standard fan header. I did not think about the connectors on the fans not being standard. Nice catch!.
