V2000 Headset Driver issue, disabled?

Hi,

My headset has stopped working.

No volume bars.

Can't switch to default device.

 

Happened like this:

1. First I couldn't switch to default audio output anymore. I used to do it at least once a day. Just stopped working. Chatting in i.e. Skype still worked.

 

2. I tried updating the drivers and now nothing works. Tried rolling back but doesn't work.

 

3. Should I throw the headset in the garbage or is this solvable. Just bought them 4 months ago...

Solved

 

Found solution:

cmd.exe right click on this and select 'run as administrator' at the prompt type:

 

 

net localgroup Administrators /add networkservice

press enter then type:

net localgroup Administrators /add localservice

press enter then type:

exit

press enter and restart your computer
