gweaver
My HX450 went crackle & pop a couple of weeks ago. I've had it 3 1/2 years, so it's still well within warranty. The HX450 is discontinued, so the (UK) supplier has offered me a CX500M as a replacement. The CX500M is broadly equivalent on specification with the HX450 (excepting the warranty, which is shorter than the remainder of my HX450 warranty), but the RM450 is more similar in market positioning. What I'd like to know is if I returned the unit to Corsair, which model would they issue as a replacement? In other words, should I accept the CX500M or push for an RM450? peanutz94
Once you request your RMA they will contact you with a comparable replacement. But you would need to ask CS this question. Sorry.
gweaver
Thanks. The RMA form doesn't list the HX450 (under Select Part Number), so I can't submit an RMA request. I'll try the live chat later.
