H80 RMA troubles

Recommended Posts

I RMAed my H80 few weeks ago, just got it today. The reason for Sending it back was that the LEDs on the fan controller stopped working, anything plugged into it would not work either.

Opened it today to my surprise they send me a H80i, a minor upgrade but I appreciate it.

But opened the actual box to find out it leaked coolant everywhere inside the box.

Very disappointed right now but I need another RMA to find out the tech support website is down...

1. Are you going to pay shipping? Because I payed to send it last time, and that's money I won't get back

2. Advance RMA, I was patience last time but now I would like to use my computer

3. When will the website be back online?

4. Will it be fixed this time around?

1: yes they will

2: yes they can but you should call them to arrange it. they open in 2 hours

3: best to call in this case instead, have your previous RMA number to give

4: i damn sure hope so, its embarrassing although some shippers play tackle football with parcels.

.

Before you send it back i would wipe it down good and hook it to your PSU outside the case. This has been reported before and turned out to be excess fluid that was spilled when filling. There may be nothing wrong with it all.

Are you sure, because the bag it's in has a pool of coolant, and then tipped the radiator, plenty of more coolant come out

Yes, I'm sure it's happened before. However if you have that much fluid in the bag then I wouldn't chance it. The others have reported just a few drops or wetness around the fill port and thought the unit was leaking. You really didn't specify how much was there so I was thinking this was the case in your unit..

I just didn't want you to send a perfectly good unit back if it wasn't necessary.

you need to have it replaced,a sealed unit is just that''sealed''

and surely not worth a component getting wet, sorry this happened as im sure you were anxious to install it...
