Contiusa
Hi, guys, I have the above mentioned SSD and it was working fine until I upgraded my HD 6870 for a GTX 770 Lightning. Taking the opportunity, I updated the firmware to the Sandforce 5.05a and it was ok. I loaded the optimized defaults and I didn't feel any glitch. Then I did a fresh install of Windows 7 64 bits and had to reformat the SSD. The install went ok, the GTX 770 runs fine, but the boot time doubled. I don't feel any difference in Windows, but the Welcome screen takes longer to disappear and the black screen before the desktop takes like 20 seconds, when it was almost instantaneous before (after all, it is an SSD). And there is a cursor in the middle of the black screen. I wrote to the Nvidia forum, because I sense that this is caused by some Nvidia driver, not the SSD. The only thing that I can imagine about the SSD is the reformat before installing the OS. But, even then, the SSD is working fine in Windows. But maybe this is a boot issue with the Sandforce 5.05a firmware. Any clues about it? I am really starting to get pissed at the Nvidia card. It also has an awkward screen stepping in between the BIOS screen and the Windows login screen. I know that the boot time won't kill me, but when you buy a premium graphics card you expect to have problems solved, not created. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Toasted
Run a ATTO benchmark and post a screenshot. Do you have the latest drivers for your chipset? Have you tried an older version of the Nvidia drivers?
Contiusa
Thanks, I'll do that and get back to you. Cheers,
Contiusa
Here it is: http://imageshack.us/a/img837/9526/6sfw.th.jpg I might not have time to install a previous Nvidia driver (I used the latest from the site) or check and update the chipset. I'll be slammed in work for the next week or so and I can experiment much with the computer for the time being (my workstation). But maybe the ATTO bench will shed some light about the SSD conditions. Cheers,
Contiusa
According to this I am having half the speeds: http://www.custompcreview.com/reviews/corsair-force-series-gs-240gb-ssd-review/16025/4/ Is that right? But my test doesn't show the controller.

I believe the issue is with your chipset drivers. The latest SSD firmware update is working fine for me!
