Well i finished installing my H100i on my LGA 1150. I had to go out an buy nylon washers for the back plate. The screw holes stuck out past my motherboard leaving slack in the back plate and studs. Still hitting 200° F when running Prime95 at 4.5GHz. Looks like it's time to delid my cpu.

If I didn't use the washers the back plate will never get tight to my motherboard. Then your water block wont be tight on your CPU either so you have to use it in my situation. I'm not sure what's going on with your rig. I'm running a I-7 4770K and that CPU is known for running hot due to the Intel used crappy TIM instead of soldering the die to the IHS. That's why people are delidding the IHS from the PCB board on their CPU's. Once you delid you can use a better quality TIM. That if you don't mind voiding your warranty on your CPU.

if you are wanting to do 4.5 your going to need a custom loop, even delidding will doubtfully accomplish this, these coolers just arent designed to dissipate such heat.on a cooler chip yes but a 3770 or 4770,then no way.
