Mike 399
I connected the power button on the obsidian 800 to the sabertooth X79 mobo but it does not show any sign of working. The green system light is on on the mother board. I connected the leads from the front panal to the motherboard for the power and reset button. Did I miss a separate power connection? All the cables seem to be solid.
peanutz94
try reversing the positive and negative side of the switch wire where it connects to the MB. The connector will have a triangle on the positive side.

peanutz94
Have you tried using an insulated screwdriver to touch the two contacts on the board to see if the board will start. If it will the switch is bad, if it doesn't then it's something in your board.
Yellowbeard
Have you tried using an insulated screwdriver to touch the two contacts on the board to see if the board will start. If it will the switch is bad, if it doesn't then it's something in your board. In addition to this, switch your power and your reset button connections on the MOBO. Use the reset button on the 2 leads for power and see if using the reset button will start the system.
Sybink
Could be a faulty I/O cables as Yellowbeard said if you MBO has a start button use this. You should have Power SW and Power Button I/O Connectors depending on the make and model of the chassis. I have both but only use PWR SW which is for the power button.
