Arkuatic
Looking for a case to house my z9pe-d8 WS and with some search there was mention of 900D able to house the motherboard or those like it however it required some plastic standoffs. Since the 750d is more or so equivalent in terms of interior would it also be compatible? I am also looking to watercool the entire setup.

Arkuatic
You sure? http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.corsair.com%2Fv3%2Fshowthread.php%3Ft%3D121611
peanutz94
Yes, and just as described in that same thread, the holes are not there and you would have to make your own and supply your own standoffs.
Arkuatic
Seems even if I can get the board mounted that might obstruct the cable grommets. Has anyone tried EATX on this?
peanutz94
Arkuatic, please check the product pages. The answer to your questions can be found there. Compatibility E-ATX, ATX, Micro ATX, XL-ATX and Mini ATX motherboards http://www.corsair.com/us/pc-cases/obsidian-series-pc-case/obsidian-series-750d-full-tower-atx-case.htm
Arkuatic
I have viewed the specs and have searched aimlessly for the right answer and have yet to find it. If you look visually the case comfortably houses a standard ATX but seemingly the EATX slots completely cover up the grommets. It also dose seem like the 900D is slightly wider in the sense it can truly house EATX which the 750d cannot.
peanutz94
The 750 CAN hold an E-ATX board. That was why i posted that above in my last response. It will not hold SSI-CEB. One the product page they show a three way SLI rig...that is an E-ATX board and the grommets are not covered.
Arkuatic
Are they however using the common E-ATX standard(12 x 10.5) or true E-ATX (12 x 13in) which is exactly the same as SSI EEB(with exception of mounts). Most motherboard manufacturers classify 12 x 10.5~ as E-ATX such as the Maximus VI extreme and most x79 boards but hardly any are 12 x 13.
peanutz94
I don't honestly know what the true dimensions of that board are. But i was wrong about the mounting positions. SSI-CEB use the same mounting holes as a standard ATX board. Created by the Server System Infrastructure (SSI) forum. Derived from the EEB and ATX specifications. This means that SSI CEB motherboards have the same mounting holes and the same IO connector area as ATX motherboards. SSI-CEB boards measure 12x 10.5in or what you refer to common E-atx so i would think it will fit just fine.. I posted this link in another thread...(bows head) I had to apologize in that thread too! ;) hehe. I did however find conflicting information , but i seem to trust that wikki over the others http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_form_factor
Arkuatic
Man was hoping I'd get an official answer today so I can order but risky to have a $150 case sitting. Contacted corsair and all but still no response.

Contacted corsair and all but still no response. Official response is that we don't guarantee compatibility with SSI EEB boards.
