600T and BitFenix Spectre Pro 200mm (led)

I've read that you need to do some adjustments to fit one of those as top-exhuast.

What kind of adjustments do I need to do? And should I fit it below the fan-grille or between the fan-grille and the detachable mesh-panel?

Also, is it a good idea to remove the fan-grille in the front to help airflow a bit since you have a dust-filter on the detachable mesh-panel there? If it's even possible to remove the fan-grille.

The stock-fan from Corsair at the top has also began failing, as in suddenly stop spinning. I have to turn the fan-controller knob to 100% to get it spinning again and then turn it down to where it was. That's no guarantee that it won't stop spinning in a couple of minutes again, though. But that's kinda beside the point.

Change both 200mm fans.

On lower intake fan install normally and then reverse the HDD trays and you will JUST be able to make them fit the Spectre fan which is much deeper (thicker) but more powerful and very quiet!

On top fan, *depending* on how much space there is from the motherboard to the opening in the case will determine how much of the fan housing corners you will need to remove to get it to fit. I removed some of the sheet metal of the case directly behind the mobo (be sure to carefully protect components from cutting debris) to allow the thicker fan housing to be positioned behind the mobo a bit and still use the original holes in the top of the case grill.

A Dremel tool (cutting wheel) easily and quickly cut through the fan housing corners but was slower cutting the sheet metal slot.

A bit of work , but you will be very pleased with the results!

Leave filter on front...the Spectre fan is so much more powerful and you'll get cleaner airflow.

Here's how it looks atm: (The back exhaust fan isn't the same since that Be Quiet one was weaker than the one I had there before)

I may have to get a new fan controller too since I don't know what's making the top fan occasionally stop spinning. I'll try connecting it to another fan slot and see if there's any change.

There is no need to cut off the metal grill. Install as outlined above and you will be happy with the performance and appearance of this modification.

Actually, I'm gonna move one HDD cage back towards the PSU and remove the other completely since I bought a 3-in-2 HDD cage for 2 5,25" bay slots to improve airflow a bit. Then I'll move two of my HDDs to that one.
