Shingara
I dunno whats going on but in the last week my corsair lighting node nearly set fire to the pc  , the corsair h100 has its fans on tornado mode  and the cooling node has stopped working properly. I ordered a new lighting kit and had my psu tested as i thought that was at fault but ive had it tested and its perfectly ok so im wondering what todo. Ive put in an rma request but i have no idea which part of the kit is at fault. Im nearly at the point where i would like my money back or a credit chip. Is that possible ? Edit, on a sidenote why i asked this question, i do alot of folding at home for medical research so my pc is left on its own toodling about folding and im not exactly keen on leaving it running when i cannot trust the fans will run properly or infact if it wont be a burnt out crisp along with the room when i get back to it. peanutz94
What do you mean it nearly set fire to your system? The one part that you didn't mention would be the one you need to RMA and that would be the commander unit.
Shingara
How many ways can you describe nearly set on fire, burning smell, melting plastic and smoke. Thats what i mean by nearly set on fire. And if the h100 and everything else attached to the kit as it was bought as a kit would need to be rma'd no ? You wouldn't believe how people exaggerate their problems. So i had to ask. :) And if the h100 and everything else attached to the kit as it was bought as a kit would need to be rma'd no ? No, just the commander unit and your lighting node is all you should have to replace.
Shingara
So why did the fancontroller stop working, it wouldnt run fans from 2 of the outputs. Mind you me tearing the side panel off and ripping the lighting node out didnt help much i think.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 11, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 11, 2013 Hello Shingara, were you able to create a support ticket in our system? I am sure one of our TS/CS will be happy to help.

But you can always have it all replaced if that would make you feel more at ease.
