xray
Just got a corsair to replace a burned out naga .... When I try to install software a dialog box pops up telling me no corsair mouse found, plug into USB port. Well, it is plugged in, lights up and moves the cursor. I tried different usb ports, same thing. Am running XP, any advice before I send it back ?
Toasted
Did you install the firmware updater and update the firmware before installing the software?
xray
I tried running it, same complaint that it cannot find the mouse .. Wouldn't something have to be installed before firmware is updated ? Shame, I like the feel of it and its working fine as a basic mouse, but obviously no sense blowing $70 on a mouse without having access to its advanced features, I'm about ready to call it quits and go with logitech. Toasted
Is the mouse connected to a USb 2.0 port? Have you tried plugging the mouse into a different computer? Does the firmware updater detect the mouse?
xray
Is an older computer but I have confirmed USB 2 ports. I'll see if I can install on another computer and post back
clamum
My M95 just came in today. I hooked it into the USB port that my old Logitech G9 was plugged into and after downloading the software, tried to install the software/drivers. I get the same error message as you, saying to plug the M95 into a USB port. Well, it is, and the blue lights are on and the mouse works (the basic buttons and scroll wheel). What gives? Did you ever find a solution xray? I am using Windows 7 64-bit, if that matters.
xray
Never did, had a devil of a time getting a refund from an amazon seller but he finally did. I don't know what to advise, it would seem there are some possible quality control issues.
clamum
Well christ, I'd rather not go through the hassle of returning this thing as I think I'd really like it. I guess I'll fool around with it for a day or two until giving up. Thanks for the quick reply man.
Toasted
Have you tried this? http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=104856
xray
Return was my only option, wasn't about to flush $70 down the drain. I didn't see this alleged work around, as the Firmware Software Updater had the same problem, and anyways wouldn't jump through hoops like that to try to get it to work. Good luck, looks like you are going to need it.
