ShadowC
Im just wondering if there is gonna be a problem hooking up 4 Noctua NF-F12 PWM to the H100i, if the h100i is able to power them alone or do i have to buy the commander unit ?
Ahtlon
It should power them, but they will stay at there native rpm, you can't change the rpm in link with these fan's, only the original fan's you can change the rpm. So if you use the noctua. get a good fan controller for these, so you could change the rpm or put them straight to you psu. The noctua are silent , so normally you don't need a fan controller. ShadowC
Well if i buy the commander unit, will i be able to control the fans then?
peanutz94
ShadowC they may or may not be controllable. Some users have had success with those fans, but really Corsair can only guarantee that the stock fans run as they should. If the cooler fails to control them your MB will . So there is no need to buy the commander unit.
Ahtlon
Just hook them up to your psu, the noctua's are silent. If you think afterwards that they aren't silent enough, buy a good fan controller, there are a lot of brands out there that make very good controllers. The only thing you will live without is that you don't see any fan 'rpm in your link.
