bdazla
I was hoping someone could help. My PC no longer recognizes when I connect my headphones or mic to the front audio connectors. The headphones work when I plug them in but when i remove them my speakers do not work. I have the ROG Realtek drivers to get the speakers to work i have to select the 'Make front and rear panel play simultaneously' then switch back to 'Mute the rear output device, when headphone is plugged in. I used to get the notification when the headphones were plugged in out but not anymore. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the case jacks or something else. peanutz94
I don't believe so. They would either work or not. Sounds more like a windows setting or something within your audio software.
bdazla
I just re-installed windows and it's not a software issue. The audio works fine when I plug out the case HD Audio. When its connected the PC believes that there are headphones plugged in even when that is not the case and therefore I cannot use my speakers. Can you purchase a new from panel? peanutz94
You can , yes. However if your case is still under warranty, just use the link on the left to request an RMA and let them know you need the front I/O panel. They will send you one pretty quick. It would be part number CC-8930017 http://www.corsair.com/us/parts/case-parts/carbide-500r-case-front-i-o-panel-all-cables-and-connectors.html
bdazla
Thanks mate appreciate the assistance, I got the case refurbished from Corsair so I just ordered the part. I noticed when i saw the part picture that i'm missing the silver part of the connector for the headphone port which is causing the problem.
