codahq
Hello, I just recently purchased a M65 from Newegg.com. The mouse is performing as expected with a few exceptions. The biggest exception is that when opening the Corsair software to modify the DPI under a profile the fields are read-only. This is the case with most if not all of the fields. The only time this isn't true is if I run the firmware updater to update the firmware and then immediately run the mouse software. I can typically edit the values one time and then the fields become read-only again. I have tried calling technical support to work through this issue but I've only been able to sit on hold until it forces me to leave a message. Nobody has called back and it's been several days. Thanks in advance!
Kasai
I'm somewhat confused by what exactly is wrong. So when you open up the software and go to manage performance, you're unable to change any of the DPI settings? What does it say exactly? Have you tried running it as an administrator? Toasted
Copy+Paste the information on the information screen (little "i" icon at the top right hand corner") Does the software detect the mouse's firmware or does it show NA? If it shows NA, make sure M65hid.exe is running. If not, you can start it by going to the install folder and double clicking the .exe.
codahq
Copy+Paste the information on the information screen (little "i" icon at the top right hand corner") Does the software detect the mouse's firmware or does it show NA? If it shows NA, make sure M65hid.exe is running. If not, you can start it by going to the install folder and double clicking the .exe. The software detects the firmware correctly when I can edit it. This is what is shown under information when I cannot edit the DPI: Software: 1.00.00.11 USB Mouse: VID: 0x1B1C PID: 0x1B05 Manufacturer: Corsair Product: Corsair M65 Mouse Firmware: NA Windows: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit The firmware is detected as "NA." I have confirmed that M65hid.exe is running. I see it right now in the processes list. I have tried killing that process and the Corsair mouse software, restarting, running one before the other, etc. These solutions do not help detect the mouse correctly. The only thing that does is to re-run the firmware update software. Thank you for the reply.

Huh... if I kill both processes and run the mainframe with elevated privileges it works correctly. This is a bug in the software. If the software needs elevated privileges it should prompt the user for them instead of fail silently. Thank you for the suggestion.
