retiredfromlife
A little while ago my PC started needing multiple pushes of the on switch to start it. (I did try swapping on & reset) Soon I had to hold it in for a few seconds to start it. I had the PC up on my desk that has a textured surface for the mouse. When I pressed the on button I noticed a red flash under the PC (reflecting off the desk) under the power supply along with a smell of burnt material. I removed the filter from the 800D and could not see any shorting marks on the power supply. That time the PC did fire up after the flash, but I turned off the PC to avoid any possible damage. I tried submitting an RMA but the page would not accept my password and email. I am always logged on here so I hope I have it recorded OK. Is the RMA log in the same as the forum? Any help will be appreciated Regards MarkL Edit, I just checked my details for my account in the spare parts section and I was able to log in. But for some reason I can not use those same details on the RMA page
Administrators Technobeard Posted September 29, 2013 Administrators Share Posted September 29, 2013 The forum and support system are not connected. I don't see a support account that uses the same email address as your forum account. You'll need to set up a support account. http://corsair.force.com
retiredfromlife
Thanks for the advice, I registered for the RMA section. My ticket number is 6156789. For the part number I selected "CMPSU-750HXAU" since I am from Australia and I guess the AU is Australia. Looking at my original receipt all it says is "Corsair 750W Gold Power AX-750" Could you let me know the process of RMA's for Australian customers. Thanks for your help. peanutz94
Could you let me know the process of RMA's for Australian customers. It would be no different than any where else. Just follow the directions outlined in the confirmation email. Once you get your RMA number they will let you know which one of the three RMA hubs to send your PSU to. retiredfromlife
Looks like I have to send to Hong Kong. Can I just send the power supply and not the leads as this is going to be an expensive post job. Regards.

retiredfromlife
Is there a way to update my RMA? I finally mad contact with DHL in Australia to see how they deliver. Aparantly they will not leave at the post office if you are not at home, so I need to change the delivery address. But I have already been sent the RMA details to send with the power supply and it has my home address. Can I just give a different address when I send the unit or do I need to get the RMA changed?
