GrahamB
Is there any bug list or reporting system available for the minor problems I encounter with link? Most are not worthy of a problem report on these forums, don't require a rapid response and are pretty obviously software bugs for my configuration. I would like to think there is some way I could feed the problems I am having back to the development team, as then they will probably be addressed in the future. There is no reason for me to mention the Haswell CPU temperature is missing as many people have reported this, and I am sure will continue to do this. It would be nice though for me to rate the previously reported problems as to their importance to me. Hopefully this would translate into a user priority list for the developers. Lastly if you have a set of Beta testers I would be happy to participate.
GrahamB
OK, Here is my list of problems and suggestions with Link 2.4.5065 System view: resizing the window messes up the device icon placement, restoring the window to the original size does not restore them to their selected positions. Status - Minor inconvenience. Devices: I7 4770k CPU temp not recognized. Disk drive temps, some show with device identification, Samsung Evo SSD and Hitachi, others just show as Disk Drive, would be nice to know which was which. There is a lot of information which could be shown but is not available i.e. ASUS Motherboard temp. Status: CPU temp - important Drive identification - fairly important Missing Info - Would be nice Groups display: The group name is obscured if any devices are added to the group, move this to the left column replacing 'Group n' which is pretty meaningless Allow multiple temperature sensors, which is after all what groups are, to be placed in a single group with a Max or average option applied to the temperatures. Example: I have 3 cooling temp sensors, if any of these temps rises above 35 degrees I would like all my fans at max, or at least not in quiet mode. This also implies adding devices to multiple groups with a Min/max Avg option. Depends a lot on your object model if this can be done easily. My Samsung Evo 840 SSD temp is described as 'diff from 100', do the maths and give me a real temp. Status: Would be nice Graph: need a much longer and user selectable time frame to be useful Status: Would be nice, if not delete the feature as it is useless in its current form. Logging: Add select all and clear all buttons Status: Would be nice Profiles: Add an export and import profile option. As each update requires me to delete all profiles I have to spend a fair amount of time renaming everything, regrouping everything, re entering email etc. Status: Something to export and re import across releases would be really useful, best format probably XML. Problems: LED profiles lost on every system restart, have to adjust them manually each time. H100i needs to be plugged in to it's own USB header to update the firmware, haven't tried it just connected to the link commander as everyone seems to say no! I can update Lighting Nodes and cooling node firmware via the commander. Would like: On the LED cycling options, add a cycle time, software must have a time built in, make it a variable. Despite the above, Good Job! I love the concept and control it gives me, and apart from a few bugs and things I may have designed slightly differently myself, it works. wytnyt
theres no list of known specific bugs because its dependent on each users specific build as this determines what ''bugs'' may occur. a bug i may have doesnt necessarily mean it will affect another... Agreed, but if it affects anyone it is still a bug. I would think that having such a list would: 1. reduce the number of user complaints on the ground that if I can see my problem and Corsair are aware of it I will wait for a fix. 2. It would make it easier for people to report problems in a structured way to make the Link development team aware of them.

wytnyt
if it were for known issues such as the haswell cpu bug, then yes but to compile every little issue everyone has had, then no,because that would a list of infinite waste with little benefit to users on a beneficial scale. peanutz94
What makes the Haswell bug different from any other bug? Because it's been reported so much? It too started as an insignificant single complaint. A bug is a bug, it doesn't matter how many or few of them there are, let the developers hash out what needs attention and what doesn't. Some cases it's the least reported seemingly insignificant bugs that can do the most harm or turn out to be far more important than you would think.. So what if the list is long? I too have several of the above bugs but hey, good job Corsair!! I really hope someone is reading this to help improve the product.. I have 3 cooling cooling kits (not nodes) and 1 lighting kit for my 900D Let's hope that there's a more refined and reliable driver/firmware/link kit from corsair in time to come. Cheers everyone!
