AX1200i & AX1200 Individually Sleeved Cables

I was going to buy the the sleeved cable SKU# CP-8920004 for my Ax1200i, but while doing some research I've found that this cable was not compatible withe Axi series.

 

but when I looked at the cables for the Axi series (SKU# CP-8920049) it was showing that this cables was compatible with ax serie :confused:

 

Sorry I think that I'm missing something, but just for curiosity :idea: how it can work in one sens and not in the other, is there some extra wires in the axi or something like this?

Your information is incorrect. Those cables WILL fit an AX1200i You can check any cable set in this matrix sheet found here.

Some PSU's are made by different OEM's and are wired differently internally. Whats weird is that the matrix shows that they are not compatible with the vanilla AX series , but the product page says otherwise.

But in your case it's not going to matter both of them include your PSU so they will fit just fine.

 

I would still like to get some clarification on the AX series though from TB or RG. I'm curious why one says they will fit and the other says no?

Thanks for your help but if you look in the matrix it show that the CP-8920004 are not compatible with the Axi 1200 serie (Fourth line after "Corsair Part #" & third column)
