HankScorpion
Hi Everyone, I can get Corsairlink to start and work. Problem is double clicking on corsairlink.exe doesnt start it. I have to goto the folder where corsairlink is installed, start the CorsairlinkHardwareMonitor.exe first, then click on the Corsairlink.exe file to open the application. I also have my setup for my saved profiles just drop, and have to set them up constantly and resave them. Anyone else experienced this issue? Running win 7 pro 64bit Corsair link RC2.4.5065 Corsair H80i

Toasted
Have you tried running the service "Hardware Monitor" and the application as administrator? If you have, click the save button without doing dragging anything. Then open this folder %Appdata%\Corsair\Profiles. Do you see the profile saved in the folder? HankScorpion
hi, Both are running as administrator, and opening corsairlink.exe still wont work, until i open hardwaremonitor.exe first. Profiles are saved in the folder, and staying. how do i stop it from needing the hardwaremontor.exe file from needing to be opened manually first? Thatualle1970
how do i stop it from needing the hardwaremontor.exe file from needing to be opened manually first? The monitor portion of Corsair Link is required to actually "see" anything and should always be running. This will happen if you're set up as a "Standard User" instead of as an "Administrator", or have any policies which lock you down from the Task Scheduler. Easy way to check is open the Task Scheduler (without running it as an Administrator) and see if you can see the "Start CorsairLINK Hardware Monitor" task, and that you can manually run it. zen1
I also have this problem. I think it was something my old antivirus did(trend micro). It works great on a fresh windows install. My workaround until I reinstall windows on my primary drive is to add the monitor to my startup folder.

Thanks Thatualle1970, i have done this, and its a work around thats halved my effort. Still doesnt fix the problem though!!!!!
Toasted
What Thatualle1970 said is correct. The service needs to be in Task Scheduler and set to run at the highest privileges. If it is already set to run at the highest privileges, i would check your computer's security software in case it is preventing the service from running or stopping it. wa3pnt
I have had a couple of occasions where Corsair Link had "stopped working" and I'm prompted to "close the program" by Windows 8. If I close Corsair Link, and then attempt to run it again it will not start. If I use the Task Manager to end CorsairLINK Hardware Monitor, I can then run Corsair Link. My thoughts are the Corsair Link wants to start the CorsairLINK Hardware Monitor, and when it's already running Corsair Link will not complete its startup.
