vlps
Hey guys I just bought my first computer and am using the corsair 650d case. prior to this computer i was mainly using a laptop all my life. I love this new computer but one thing thats bugging me is that all of the fans are always on. I have them plugged into the controller and I have that turned all the way down to the lowest setting but its still noise that I'd rather not have when browsing the web. Surely the fans don't need to be on for browsing the web? I guess my laptops had built in systems to change the fan speeds when doing intensive things, is there anyway to have my corsair650d/asrock z77 extreme4 do the same type of thing? thanks in advance from a computer newbie. Toasted
Unfortunately, the 650D fan controller does not turn fans off, there are only 3 settings low, medium and high. You can plug the fans to the motherboard and use their (if available) fan control feature.
Underscore_Hero
Not sure if aftermarket fan controllers can turn fans to 0 rpm, can do some research on them. NZXT makes a few touch screen ones too
