mommageek
Got h50 and installed it about a week ago. Computer would no longer boot up. Just got rma'd motherboard (husband out buying anti static wristbands to be sure we don't fry this one). Do we need new thermal paste? Not replacing CPU, just the mobo. And it's been in place for a week and actually powered on for a grand total of maybe an hour.... if so, does worst buy usually carry that sort of thing? ;)

wytnyt
if the block was mounted then yes paste will need to be reapplied. with these new modern components static electricity harming things is very unlikely
peanutz94
And he bought Antec formula 7 nano diamond thermal compound. Ok to use? How to apply? They actually recommend to stay away from the Diamond based pastes because it can actually ruin the mirror finish on the pump head.
