Angelicbounder
I'm currently helping a friend upgrade RAM in his laptop and was wondering if the RAM has the same form factor, speed and bus would it be compatible. I'm kind of new to changing laptop RAM but here is some information. Laptop: Acer Aspire 5253 (information here: http://www.cnet.com/laptops/acer-aspire-5253-bz893/4507-3121_7-34505591.html) RAM I wish to use: Corsair CM3X8GSDKIT1066 8GB 2X4GB PC3-8500 DDR3-1066 SODIMM: So I'm asking any RAM experts whether if it is compatible or not since I myself don't see any problems with the compatibility but since I'm new to Laptop ram and the fact that I can't seem to find any ram list for the laptop in question. Thanks In Advanced for any help.
peanutz94
o I'm asking any RAM experts whether if it is compatible or not since I myself don't see any problems with the compatibility but since I'm new to Laptop ram and the fact that I can't seem to find any ram list for the laptop in question. It SHOULD be compatible. However there is always the off chance that newer modules won't work on an older system. Corsairs own memory finder only lists a single 2 gig module for that system, but that doesn't mean others aren't just as compatible. http://www2.corsair.com/configurator/system_results.aspx?sc=us&id=1064998
