DavveK
Could anyone help me? My Vengance 1500 stopped working for some reason, there is no sound and such. When I tried restarting the PC it didn't work either so I tried to re-install the drivers and change usb ports, nothing worked. Now I'm having the error message when I try to start the corsair software "Please connect the corsair HS1 USB Headset.". And even though it's on (The lights on the volume switcher works) it doesn't recognize that it's connected.
Synthohol
does any other device work on the usb ports?
DavveK
does any other device work on the usb ports? I tried, still the same thing. It's on (The lights) but it still doesn't recognize that the usb is inserted. EDIT: Read that question wrong. EDIT EDIT: Yea, any other device works on the ports. Synthohol
open device manager and see if there is a problem listed when they are plugged in. could be a driver or a windows .DLL file that went belly up. can you try them in another computer? if all else fails please submit an RMA with the link on the left. DavveK
I'm not sure how to browse the device manager but when I tried connecting it to another computer it pretty much said that it didn't recognize it. When it tried to install drivers it said "Unknown device" EDIT: Apparently when I hooked it into my main computer it installed, but now the computer seems to deactivate it everytime so I hear the sound of a USB port going out and in the computer (The ding on W7) EDITEDIT: Now it seems to work again after plugging it in and out of the USB port. But now I've got another issue at hand. The headset seems to change to another device (Even if I don't have any enabled) or stops working (If I don't have any besides the headset) entirely when I move the cable up/Tug the cable. As before, the lights are still on but the sound stops when the cable is pulled. EDIT EDIT EDIT: No, apparently the cable has to be tight (Not hanging) To make any sort of sound. Synthohol
wow, sounds like it could either be the cord or the usb port. i would start an RMA and CALL customer service for advice.
