The power goes out in the home, so my PC turned off, when power was established I could not turn the PC on. I tried several times pushing the power button on the case and nothing. So, unplug it the back power cord, wait, plug it back in and several hours late the PC turned on.

The motherboard leds are on, I understand the power is ok, but when I push the power button the PC doesn't start up.

ASUS P8P67 DELUXE (REV 3.0)

It may be a PSU or motherboard (ASUS P8P67 DELUXE (REV 3.0)) problem? Any advice?

Or this is some PSU protection because the power goes out suddenly?

Thank you in advance.

ps. I read the other posts but could not conclude if it is a faulty or some factory protection.

ps1. This has happened couple of times before

ps2. I hope you all understand and sorry for my little english

Thank you for the answer peanutz94, I don't thing so beacause I took from the wall socket, it takes a while to turn on, but the PSU is working. Apparently it is working normally when turned on, and this is not the first time it happens it has happened once or twice before.

I have a theory that if a device broke, it broke, it does not work when it wants to. lol

Except that doesn't apply here. Your complaint is actually not all that uncommon. And why is suggested to have it replaced. It may or may not have been damaged when the power came on. The chances of a spike are much greater at that time though. Either way the PSU shouldn't act like that. There really isn't anything else that it could be either.

I misunderstood your question a little, but the answer would have still been the same:).

Yesterday I made a test and turned the PC off when I went to sleep, usually I just turn off the monitor, but this time I turned off the PC. Early in the morning the PC turned on, then the 'problem', if there is one, is when the PC is turned off by power interruption. In this case it takes a while to restarting, but when it is on, it seems all normal.

How long would you say this takes? Any active power protection features of the PSU should reset pretty quickly as soon as the "fault" is fixed. That would include things like overheating too. Once the PSU returns to a normal temp it should return to normal function. Or in your case, once the power returns.

The first time was from one day to the other because it happened late in the afternoon so I do not have time to call someone, but the power had been restored. The next day, before calling someone, I tried once more and turned on.

In the other two cases, including this one, it happened during the morning, I waited a few hours, about 4 hours.
