ahedgpe
I have a Gigabyte Z87mx-D3H mobo with Corsair Vengeance 8gb 1600mhz (2x4 dimms CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B). I have the latest bios and when I enable XMP Profile 1 (only option) the memory is timings are put at 9-9-9-24, 1600 which is the correct speed. The computer will load fine and game etc... The only issue I have is that from a cold boot as the computer is starting I notice the bios will flash twice like it is looping and then sometimes the computer will start and other times it will stay on a black screen. If I remove XMP in the bios and go back to 1333 for the timings the computer loads fine everytime from a cold boot. Nothing is overclocked in the bios and I ran Memtest overnight with no errors. I also increase memory voltage in increments from 1.5 - 1.6 with same issue. Any ideas why I cant get the memory to the default 9-9-9-24 1600 timings?
