ashton4life
I replaced my Corsair fans on my H100i with 2 Nuctua NF-P12's and for some reason they will not go to max RPM 1300. In CorsairLink 2 I looked at the information tab under Config Panel/ Information and they have two different speeds. One is 1196 and the other is 1214. Strange, is there any way to change this? I'm using the newest firmware. Edit: My bad the information speed is the same as the actual speed. So my question is why do they not go to the 1300 max of the fan? Do the fans have to be a 4pin PWM to be controlled properly?
sinnedone
The H100i is only guaranteed to work properly with the included fans. Not even Corsairs own PWM SP120's will spin at max rpm (max rpm 2350, H100i spins to 2100). Unfortunately its something we will all have to deal with when we go with fans other than what was included with the unit.

Shame I will only use CorsairLink2 to run the LED colors on the pump. Hopefully there will be an update that allows us to use Corsairlink2 along with our own preferred fans. My 2 Noctuas as intake push at 1200 RPM keep my cores at 23c idle and 44c under load in Prime95. CPU clocked from 2.8 to 3.9. I don't see the need to have the loud stock fans. They seem to be overkill on my system.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 25, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 25, 2013 That is not uncommon with third party fans as our software and cooler are tuned for our fans and will reserve about 200 RPM as a buffer, so that sounds normal fort that fan when using it on our cooler
