BaronVonDuncs
I have installed Corsair Link but when i try to launch the software it does not open. In task manager it shows as a process but i don't get access to the software. I have tried the latest version and earlier versions of Link but none of them work. So how do I get Link to work? BaronVonDuncs
yes already checked that one. I have made some progress and managed to get link version 2.1.1 to work but none of the newer ones will open at all. I wonder if the firmware in the H80i which is at 1.05 needs to be updated for the Link software to work.

BaronVonDuncs
Version 2.1.1 is working after i ran as administrator but later versions wont work even as admin. It just doesn't open at all, if i check task manager it shows up as a running process but the software doesn't actually start up.
peanutz94
Yes, later versions need the updated FW to run. But if your cooler is otherwise functioning correctly there is o need to update the FW, just to update the FW.:) It's recommended to leave it alone if you are not having any problems
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 25, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 25, 2013 Any version of our software since 2.2.0 will run fine on F/W 1.05 and I would not suggest updating the firmware on the cooler unless there is a reason to The latest version updates support for the RM series PSU and has nothing to do with the cooler.
