FGarray
So, I've owned my computer with a H100i cooler for about a year now and I'm quite impressed with it. Recently, I've been having some issues where my BitFenix Spectre (or possibly the rad and/or pump) fans are making some strange rattling noises. I researched about it, and it seems nearly everyone was having this issue, but only with the stock fans.. My idle temps on boot are normal (about 35 degrees Celsius), and one of the fans on the radiator are plugged into my motherboard, and the other one powered by a peripheral (molex) connector. Now, I looked at the fan speeds, although I wasn't using Corsair LINK because I like to use HWMonitor, and the fan speed on the one being controlled by the motherboard was around 750RPM. I don't recall the fan ever being at that low RPM, so maybe the fan running at low RPM causes the noise? I've also never updated the firmware, in case anyone was wondering. I can provide pictures of how my build currently is if needed.
Jckf
Let me get this straight. You're not using the fan controller on the H100i, and not the stock H100i fans? Since you don't say what fans you got to replace the stock Corsair ones, I'm going to assume they're not corsair brand. This mean that nothing related to your fans have anything to do with Corsair or the H100i.
wytnyt
unplug your fans and check the noise but corsair only guaranty using stock fans not sure how a warranty would apply here.
peanutz94
I don't see how this is the coolers fault since you have your fans plugged in to the MB and directly to the PSU. This issue only effected 3pin stock fans or some 3rd party fans that were powered directly from the pump. Since your are powered elsewhere this is no fault of the coolers. I don't see where this would be a warranty /RMA case.
FGarray
Alright, I wrote this really late at night, so I'm just going to say this post never happened and I had no idea what I was doing. Anyways, just a quick bump on the top of the radiator fixed it..
wytnyt
sounds like a trapped air bubble which usually results in moving/jarring the computer...
