Corsair H100i not recognized in corsair link 2

I've posted before, but I never really had my issue resolved, and now it's a little bit different.

In short, I have the latest beta version of Corsair Link 2 installed (but i've tried it on older versions as well, which i believe the current release is the 2.3.xxxx version) and my H100i is not being recognized. Only one of my fans are spinning on my h100i as well, leading to slightly warmer temps. I've tried plugging in the usb header to every available mobo header i have to no avail. I've updated all my drivers and done every windows update possible.

Running windows 8 x64 version if it matters.

Can't even update the firmware for my h100i because it's not a recognized device.

Any advice?

No takers? i've read a bunch of posts that were similar but nobody really had any resolutions except for swapping the USB headers, which i tried to no avail.

I really dont want to route the usb cable to an external port, and i dont even have a mini usb to regular usb cable available.

I've just spent days trying to get mine working properly as I had exactly the same problem with it not being recognised. Tried swapping USB headers and also tried the mini usb to external trick; didnt work at all.

What eventually worked for me was reverting to an older version of the link software; V2.2.0 to be precise. I think its a bit ridiculous having to use an older version but it instantly recognised my H100i and has been working perfectly since.

I know you say you tried it on older versions already but if you haven't tried 2.2.0 it might be worth a shot?

I'll give that a shot. what really sucks is that i have a ticket open with corsair but they haven't responded in about 5 days.

well i uninstalled all versions of corsair link, uninstalled the usb dongle, deleted corsair directories in programfiles(x86) and my appdata folder, reinstalled 2.2.0 and it still is fubard. redid all that with the current stable and current beta release and still nothing. kinda annoyed. Waiting for someone at corsair to answer my ticket now. They stay someone will answer within a business day but i'm just playing the waiting game at this point.

Giving that a shot now. currently the bootloader is completely frozen, but hopefully that goes away after a few minutes. i've attached a screenshot of where it froze

I banged my head against the wall for 4 days before finding this post. The procedure worked for me with the Commander, and might also work regarding the H100i.

I've let it go for over 15 minutes and it's stuck on that screen. i'm assuming it shouldnt take that long to update the firmware.

no luck unfortunately. let it go for a hour, rebooted, same thing.

My bootloader also froze. I could not select the START or the CANCEL buttons. Waited about 30 minutes, and then finally ended the task with Task Manager. When I rebooted the new Firmware was installed.
