Dariusz
Heya So this is pretty serious to me. The Corsair fails to speed up fans which cause overheat of pc and emergency shut down. I dont have to say if this is going to keep happening it will eventually damage my CPU or other component of my PC. The software fails to speed up fanse on multiple different modes of fan set up(performance/custom/quiet etc etc) Further more if the software speed up fans and cool down CPU then many times it happens that after cpu come back to idle the fans still go at 100% and never slow downs. I have to restart computer to fix that. I'm using my computer at around 1-5h constant 100% usage for rendering. This is very bad.
madmecca1975
Are you sure it's a software issue have you tried connecting the fans to the motherboard to see if that changes temps. What about system specs and ambient temps. What is pump speed in the bios could be h80i might not be on properly need to narrow it down might not be software
madmecca1975
Also make sure fans are grouped with the h80i
Dariusz
The pump speed in CorsairLink 2 is 2128. If I try fans from bios they works fine. Up and down. Problem is the Link either crashes or starve from lack of CPU and then all goes bad. I already set up software to run and above normal priority but that did not help. Simply once CPU run 100% the corsair get pushed aside. "Also make sure fans are grouped with the h80i" What do you mean with this?

madmecca1975
that's for the pump now if you do same thing on fan does it say h80 for group if I does the only thing I can think of try some other pwm fans on the pump to see if they work as a test to make sure fan controller is ok. wytnyt
group your fans with your h80i temp, set a fan curve and see if they respond in accordance ...
madmecca1975
also are you using the sp120l pwm fans that came with the h80i
Dariusz
I grouped the fans under 2. Intel cpu group I believe. Fans+pump. They speed up to 100% and stay this way when cpu goes to idle. My cpu was at 100% for about 4h today. I use 1 fan from corsair original + 1 custom 120mm thin pwm one. madmecca1975
Fans and pump should be grouped with the h80i temp
Dariusz
Heya Why do I want to group them to h80i if that is not CPU ? I should have grouped all to temperature of CPU no?
wytnyt
Heya Why do I want to group them to h80i if that is not CPU ? I should have grouped all to temperature of CPU no? its better to control water temp as the cpu can sky rocket depending on load and the water temp is still cool,,theres no point in raising fan speed if the water is still cool...
