takasheen
I got these headsets somewhat recently, but i first noticed that the volume was EXTREMELY loud. I have to keep my sound at 2%, which is the lowest I can go. After a little while I noticed the directional audio was screwed up. By that, I mean I was hearing sounds like footsteps that should have been to my right, playing on my left. It was very noticeable and confusing in games like Counter-Strike. I did some googling and found that people have been having this problem for a really long time, and the only thing customer support was saying was "send us your specs," and "it's your rig not our headset." I'm wondering if anyone has found a solution to either of these problems?

revenile
I've not heard of the volume issue, but welcome to the group of swapping issues. I cannot play Hawken at all because it switches so bad there's more static clicks than actual sound, and the game runs solid at 40+ FPS. This isn't the first headset of theirs to have this problem too, reports of the HS1 or whatever have it too, and it's a problem with the base back end of the driver's architecture from some of the limited research I cared to do. Corsair support has been all but useless on the problem since they can't seem to replicate what quite a few of us are experiencing. I'm stuck with these things until I can get the funds to buy a different set, not from Corsair. They're lucky their booth at PAX was always too busy, or I would have had a nice little chat with them. Corsair memory is decent stuff, but their headphones, never again. It's a real shame to, because aside from the swapping and high pitched whine when the mic is on, these are a good set, nice and sturdy and comfortable, and when they work right, sound great. But as I mentioned there is at least one game I cannot play at all because these headphones are a defective product, and no amount of RMAs will fix the problem since it's a driver issue. Sorry you got hit with the problem, hopefully you're still within the grace period to send them back for a refund, you'd be better off I think.
