brendanz77
I recently got my Vengeance M65 gaming mouse in the mail and I LOVE it. When it's working I have no problems whatsoever. There is only one minor crimp in this piece of perfection: Sometimes when I turn my computer on, the mouse isn't recognized (no LED on mouse/not recognized in device manager). After hauling my case out from its hole and unplugging and replugging the mouse back in, it works. This doesn't happen 100% of the time when the computer is turned on, but I would say a fair 70% of the time. Is this error due to faultiness in the mouse or am I doing something wrong? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Toasted
Try a different USB port and see if that helps.
brendanz77
@Toasted Thanks for the advice. I switched it to a USB 3.0 port. I'll see if it works. Whether it starts or not when I come home from school today will tell me if it did. Any other ideas are welcome though.

Starlight
I recently got my Vengeance M65 gaming mouse in the mail and I LOVE it. When it's working I have no problems whatsoever. This doesn't happen 100% of the time when the computer is turned on, but I would say a fair 70% of the time. Is this error due to faultiness in the mouse or am I doing something wrong? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance. I bought the M65 just about a month ago, and I do also LOVE it! Best gaming mouse I've ever had for FPS-gaming. Anyway, I have had about the same problem as you had, which started a couple of days ago: Turned on my computer - mouse is suddenly not working. No effect unplugging and re-plugging the mouse. However, restarting my computer appeared to make things back to normal again. The next day - same procedure. Not working....reboot and it's working  Then I was thinking, maybe I should try and update/re-install drivers and firmware - this really seamed to mess the mouse up. I now get the message "the mouse isn't recognized/can't be found", and I am unable to install  I have also tried different USB-ports, and have tried another computer, but there's no difference. I have now got a non-functioning mouse, it's not working at all, except for the LED lights flashing on and off. If someone knows what's causing these errors or if my M65 is just dead and gone forever, then please let me know.
Toasted
@Starlight Do the basic buttons work? If they do, try this and see if it helps. http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=104856
Starlight
@Toasted I sent a PM to you - please disregard. It just hit me - the "thing" I couldn't find (never read instructions without finishing your morning coffee ;D ) Edit: "Toasted" and "LordLobo" regarding: "http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=104856" Many many thanks!! It seems that just changing the USB setting helped. My M65 was now found by the system and appears to be working again! <
Starlight
Ok, the mouse is working - almost. I have a really strange problem now. The mouse is working in-game, I can click on firefox icon etc, but I wanted to change a setting in teamspeak, while in-game, and it just refuses to action any mouseclick in teamspeak  I have restarted teamspeak, but still the same thing. I can't even change volume settings on other people in TS. Also, (only once today), when I tabbed out of game to check something, the mouse wouldn't action any click at all, just like the first problem I had - so had to reboot my computer and it was working again. But still, Teamspeak - it's like it's not there. What is this???
Starlight
and now a follow up #2 - Like I said, the mouse was functioning after changing the USB settings, now I'm back to the problem I had before. The mouse is flashing, following the instructions from the link is not working - at all, which it was earlier. This is giving me a severe headache. This mouse is bought one month ago. My computer is nearly a year old. *gaaaaah* Edit: I have followed the instructions through fully this time. Still not working. "Mouse not found" The mouse is simply not responding and is still flashing. It was working earlier and I was really happy about that. Don't know what to call it really - mouse action problem? The pointer was working, I could choose where to click, but at first it wouldn't "click" on any setting at all in teamspeak. After that, it wouldn't action a mouse click anywhere at all. Just not responding other than I could move the pointer (which I can't right now - it's only flashing). I also did e-mail the I-store I bought it from, they have sent me a new one but I am wondering will I have the same problem with a new mouse or was I just having bad luck and got a defect mouse?? Or is it something in the firmware or drivers / my computer that's causing this? I've tried lots of other brands when it comes to a gaming mouse, where the scroll button really has been an issue (very plastic and the mouse felt "cheap" - and after about 2-4 months of gaming the scroll broke (I use the scroll button to switch between weapons in-game), which is one of the reasons I wanted to try Vengeance M65. I have never ever experienced a mouse working on and off like this. Please help before I go insane :S
Toasted
It sounds like the mouse is faulty as its flashing which is not normal. Wait for the replacement mouse to come from your seller and see if that works better.
