h80i hitting 80c

help plz after testing my proceessor in prime95 for 4 minutes at 4.2 ghz my temps was

core 0 79c

core 1 84c

core 2 78c

core 3 75c

Stock fans both on maximum speed mode in corsair link 2542 rpm and 2643

sounds like you should be getting slightly better temps at that voltage and ambient.

 

I can only suggest a remount to verify the base is making proper contact with the cpu. Make sure there are no caps or choked that sit underneath the H80i's base. especially where the hoses come out.

 

Other than that you might have a really hot chip.

 

Also how is your case ventilation? H80i intake or exhaust?

Exhaust but the radiator is positioned horizontally not 90 degrees and my case is cooler master haf xb
