Ken429
I need a refresher course on what to expect from the H100 fan controller. I have been using Noctua NF-F12 fans connected to the MB to control fan speeds. For whatever reason, I replaced the Noctua fans with the original H100 fans connected to the H100 fan controller. Now when I turn the computer on the fans roar into action and after 30 seconds or so they quiet down. I believe this is normal behavior for the H100 controller. Everything seems ok - when I change the fan controller from low-balanced-high the fans change speed slightly. However, when I run IBT for ten passes the 3770K core temps increase dramatically (core 2 being the highest at 85C) but the H100 fans never change speed! I have the fan controller set to high. Also, I do not notice any increase in fan speed when running Prime95 for several hours! What is the H100 controller using to sense the CPU temperature or is it broke?
