Belial_69699
Hey everyone. I currently own a Logitech G510 keyboard and its been alright but really been wanting to upgrade to a mechanical keyboard because I keep reading how great they are. I own a lot of Corsair products already (case, memory, ssd ect) and I know they make great products and have great warranties and customer service so I figured why not go with them for a new keyboard. My question is, I was looking at the K70's and the K95. I am a gamer (WoW, SWTOR, WoT, FFXIV ect) so which would be the best route for me to go? I know there are a lot of switches but not sure exactly which would be best for me, anyone help me out here? Thanks in advance!

Belial_69699
From what I've read, the Red switches are best for gamers and Blue switches are more for people who have to type a lot? Where are the Brown switches in the series? I am curious because I've seen Corsair has new keyboards coming out soon with the Brown switches as well. Toasted
The Cherry MX Blue and Brown switches are in the K70 line. Jazter
Reds have a linear keystroke. They feel the same going down, as they do going up. They're very light and fast, but there's no tactile feedback whatsoever. Unless you bottom out your key, you might not noticed that you actuated it. If you're used to, or prefer the "feel" of actuation when you press a key, such as a slight bump, or a very pronounced click, then I would never recommend going for Cherry MX Reds. They feel very empty so keep that in mind when you consider getting them.
Dims
If you like to use macro i would pick the K95. If you don't i would pick K70. I own the K70 with red switches. if i had do it all over again i would wait for K70 with brown switches. The reds are too sensitive at times for me. I find myself jumping in-game at random due to resting thumb on space bar.
Belial_69699
This is very good to know, thanks Jazter and Dims! I stopped in a local Best Buy last week to see if they had any of the Corsair kb's there so I could get a feel for them myself but sadly they didn't have any of them. Honestly I don't think they had any mechanical keyboards there at all which surprised me. I will definitely keep your comments in mind though. I am guessing that the Brown switches are in between the Reds and Blue switches then?
