infamousy
Hey guys, About 3 weeks ago i received the computer i bought back in June 10, customs were having problems so my package got really delayed. Yesterday i restarted my computer and after that it started crashing, having blue screens. I was like Dang, i'll have to format probably windows is messed up, I kept getting errors while trying to install windows so i took out one of the ram and it worked. I put memtest the whole night to check the ram. This is what i wake up into. http://i.imgur.com/bzxr8Bx.jpg http://i.imgur.com/oHGf52Y.jpg This was after only 3 weeks of use, What can i do? if i send them back it'll probably take longer than a month to receive and it need the computer for work, I find it ridiculous also that i have to pay for the shipping. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 4, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 4, 2013 The timings are all wrong, what is the make and model of MB and CPU and what are the exact settings you have set for both CPU and memory?
infamousy
I have an asrock FM2A75 Pro4-M and AMD a10-5800k processor and I'm using default settings, I don't understand why memtest showed those settings but i didn't set it like that. It all started after i restarted my PC yesterday, I started having blue screens and crashing Catalyst Control Center, I tried to reinstall windows 7 and i kept getting an error. looking for a solution i read it could be faulty ram, so i removed one stick and it worked, after installing windows i removed the working stick put the other one and ran memtest for the whole night like showed in the picture. EDIT: Right now I'm using the computer using only 1 stick. EDIT 2: Memory settings were the default ones too but using XMP profile 1600 mhz. http://i.imgur.com/hExVllL.png of course there I'm only running 1 stick but those were the settings even while running in dual channel
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 4, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 4, 2013 Please go to BIOS setup and load setup defaults with both modules installed and set the memory voltage to 1.6 Volts and retest with http://www.memtest.org. But if you do not get errors when testing them one at a time that would suggest some other issue.
infamousy
Alright, Just did that and memtest shows thousands of errors within seconds. http://i.imgur.com/7tsCYj8.jpg I cancelled it because is pointless to run it for hours while is showing errors so fast, I booted the computer with the faulty ram and crashed Catalysm control center again. EDIT: Removed the "faulty" ram, and it booted fine without crashing CCC.

infamousy
Hey! Yeah that's what i will do but as i said before i can't be without a computer for work right now and I'm using one stick just "fine" so i ordered new memories which i'll probably get in like 10 to 15 days, then after that i'll RMA these ones, is that ok? I also have no idea how to ship them not sure if there is any explained guide or something because i've never done something like a RMA before in my whole life. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 6, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 6, 2013 You dont need to order other memory that you will get stuck with, just create the RMA and you will have the option to request an EXPRESS RMA and get the replacement before you send the failing set

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 9, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 9, 2013 It may be too late but I would try and cancel the order from Amazon and if you cant cancel it just refuse the package and send it back and then call our customer service to set up the advanced RMA
infamousy
Hi! I already got the ram i ordered after, I have a few questions about the RMA process, where they will send the new ones? Can i like send them a P.O box address or they will send it to the address am i using in the website?, is my ticket still working or do i have to open a new one because i haven't send them yet? the email address i received with the address do i have to print it and put it on the box or when i send them via Fedex they'll do it for me after telling them the address? Sorry i have never done RMA before on anything :l
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 26, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 26, 2013 I am sorry but you would need to speak with our customer service for these questions, please call them at the toll number listed under 888-222-4346 and if you are out side the USA you can call the toll free number using an VOIP Application like SKYPE for free. peanutz94
Can i like send them a P.O box address or they will send it to the address am i using in the website? Generally they won't use a PO box unless you speak with them about it first and make some special arrangements. If you have a standard address, I would use that one. , is my ticket still working or do i have to open a new one because i haven't send them yet? Your RMA is active for I believe 60 days (RG correct me if I'm wrong) You have plenty of time to send them in. Just use tape the shipping lable that they gave you in your initial email to the box and be sure to write the RMA number on the box or package too. That will give FedEX all the information you need.
