bhavv
Im having a bit of a problem with one of the beams on the top of my case vibrating from the airflow. This only started happening after I tried using the front fans provided with the case as exhausts on the top as they are very good fans and push a lot of air, but they cause one of the beams to vibrate: It took me a while to figure out where the noise was coming from. Im hoping this is just a problem with the top panel on my case, and that I could get it replaced? What part number would I need to enter for an RMA request? silasslim
I have exactly the same problem. I had to move my Kraken X60 to the front as the vibration was driving me mad. It also does it with any and all 120 - 140mm fans I have tried including the stock case fans, Gentle Typhoons, Noctua's and as of this morning the Corsair AF140's. NOCIVOX
I´m sorry but that will no be fixed with an RMA, seems rather a construction issue, a low quality assembly.
peanutz94
I´m sorry but that will no be fixed with an RMA, seems rather a construction issue, a low quality assembly. Comments like that make me laugh. Flaws or or manufacturing defects doesn't translate into low quality. From what i can see in the Video that the OP posted, it's just that mesh panel. And that could be one of a million things that could potentially be the problem. Up to and including the machines that stamp out and form those panels. I'm sure Corsair will come up with a fix or replace any defects.
NOCIVOX
You can laugh but it´s the truth. The top mesh panel is loosy and makes vibrations, if it isn´t a bad assembly issue what is it?
peanutz94
It's a defect and nothing else! Remember machines are only as smart as the human running them! That does not translate into poorly engineered or poor quality.
NOCIVOX
Ok, just a defect, not poorly engineering or poor quality... So how is that defect may be caused? I love this case but when I heard of this defect has made me rethink whether to buy or not, maybe it's easy to fix...
mac_cad
It was a easy fix for me. I placed thin stripes of double side tape between the beams and mesh. You can also use any anti vibe foam or rubber pads and cut it to size. I also replaced the fan's screws with rubber mounts, this really helps to keep the case vibration free. Some problems I just prefer to try to solve them, because replacement parts will have the same issues. But everyone has the wright to complain.
