Branden440
Hello, I wasn't sure if this is where I post this or not. I've had my current system for close to 8 months with no issues. Recently I started crashing while playing WoW and receiving BSoDs. Initially I thought software issue. I made sure I had all updates and still had the same problem. I then flashed my Bios because it was outdated version and then reformatted my HD and would get BSoD during install of updates. That then led me to test my memory. I ran the current version of memtest and tested each stick individually. 3 of of the 4 went 100% complete no errors. The last stick received over 3000 errors in the first 3 seconds. I tested again with just 2 sticks in and again 3 out of the 4 passed. Everything in bios is set to auto as far as voltage and all that. All the settings match the recommended RAM settings. I am now running just 2 sticks together and opened a RMA# 6093293. I had two questions. First being is it safe to say that just one of my 4 RAM went bad? Second, may be dumb questioned, do I have to send all 4 sticks in to be tested or just send the one that came up with the errors?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 30, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 30, 2013 I am sorry that happened and yes you will want to replace the whole set so they can all work together. Please use the link on the left and request an RMA for the set and get the whole set replaced. When you do the RMA you will have the option to request an Express RMA and use your credit card to get the replacement before you send the failing set. Branden440
Thank you for the quick reply. I thought I had another set of RAM that was compatible with this system but it turns out it's not. I will have to do the express because I have no other way to run my system without this RAM. That being said, I will fill out a new RMA as you suggested and delete my current one. Thanks again.
