da11en47
I recently bought a H60 and after installing, I was expecting temperatures would drop in the 20's when idling, they didn't...I was told it's very hard to get a chip down below ambient temperature, and I know my case doesn't after much air flow, none really. After overclocking my i5 3570K chip from 3.4, to 4.2 I'm getting max temps between 69-78 C, at %100 load during my tests. I would say that is pretty good. I'm contemplating even higher, but maybe I should be happy with what I have, thoughts?
babdi
If you had an h100 or h110 I could have advised on a higher CPU clock. CPU temp over 70 is not good
peanutz94
da11en47 are your temps individual core temps or is this just average CPU temp?
WesternDreaming
If you had an h100 or h110 I could have advised on a higher CPU clock. CPU temp over 70 is not good ivy throttles at 105c... assume 30c for worst case ambient.. any temps under 75c are fantastic
da11en47
Those are what I have seen the individual core temps varying between, and it's been hot here lately, around 85-90 F in my house.
